Bus Boys “Minimum Wage Rock & Roll”

12″ LP, Arista, 1980

I read about this group in I wanna say “Musician” but it may have been “Option,” alongside a Lou Reed American Express ad and I think a blurb about Gordon Gano’s Mercy Seat project, and I’m not sure how that relates to their performance as the bar band in 48 Hrs., which is probably where I first noticed them, even if I didn’t immediately make the connection when I eventually saw that magazine article.

They never stood a chance.
